Animation brief (unit 66)

10-15 seconds, using either Animate, Photoshop, After Effects, Maya, hand-drawn, stop motion

You need to create an animated dog (anthropormphised, i.e. humanised, i.e. on 2 legs not 4 think Snoopy, Yogi etc)
Decide on style and audience.

It needs to interact with its environment in some way.
In the first moment it needs to turn its head from screen left
At the end it needs to turn its head to screen right
And inbetween it's up to you...

If stuck give it something human to do.

Get inspired.. watch some stuff…

Brainstorm ideas on A3 paper.

Shortlist it to three good ones.

Get the final idea signed off by the teacher.

Brief

Your task is to come up with an original idea for a sketch show based on original characters of your own creation.

You will put the characters into three different scenes, which won't necessarily be edited together in that order - the scenes/sketches must be self-contained.

At the end of each scene a red ball must be thrown away, it must also appear at some point in the scene so that the scene can be edited to another one.

You need to use a range of animation styles and can choose between:

Animate cel 
After Effects
Stop motion / Dragonframe
Hand drawn
Maya
Cut out

Each scene will be a minimum of 5 seconds. You will need to work with someone else on the stop motion one, if that's your choice - work on their 5 seconds and they work on yours.

You will need to take responsibility for booking any equipment that you need.

Find some good sound effects that help emphasise the action

File Import>to Library

Timeline > new layer>Create blank keyframe where you want the sound

Drag the sound from the Library to the Stage (to where your animation is)
